Question: How would i know if my belly piercing is infected!?
hey i got my belly pierced about 5 days ago!.!.!. and the first 2 days it wsnt red at all then like on the 3rd day it was kind of red then it was like purple around !.!. my mom said its probably bruised because i clean it to much!.!. i only clean it with dial soap!.!. thats all!.!.!. also ive noticed when im in the shower and i cmove it up i see this white goo around it but my belly doesnt smell r n e thing but im concerned!.!.!. am i being paranoid!?!?

I have a belly ring and mine did that too!. Especially when I get in the shower!. My piercer said its supposed to do that for the first few weeks but if the body fluids coming out started looking like they are weird colors like green or a deep deep yellow then go seek medical attention just so you can find out if it is infected!. The purple just may be bruisng but the best thing you can do is go back to the shop and ask or just take it out if it becomes too serious!. Go back to the shop before you do anything!. And dont bother it too much! And if you do touch it wash your hands!Www@Answer-Health@Com
First of all, if you just got it pierced five days ago, it's much too soon to take it out!.
It's not properly healed yet!.
Also, you should probably get some sea salt and make a sea salt solution to cleanse it!.
If you go back to the piercers', they should be able to give you some cleaning products and advice, as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your body is treating the belly piercing like the foriegn object that it is!.!.!.!.the white puss are white blood cells that have been sent to the site!. Because its red its immflamed as well!.!.!.unfortunately these things could mean that it is infected!.!.!.what kind of metal did you use!? was the gun sterile!? in general gold is less reactive with the body so If it doesnt resolve itself or you cannot treat it you may have to remove the peircing!.

yes it probably is infected, which is quite common!. dont wash it all the time with soap!. use special cleaning liquids for piercings, that should help get rid of the infection!. if u dont have any, which u should, buy some from where u got it pierced,Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have lots of piercings!.!.!. If its pussing abnormal colours like a greenish colour!.!.!. or if the redness or purpleish colour is spreading mroe than half an inch arout again for about a good two weeks your piercing will puss and feel gooy in the shower becasue tis the dried up crusties getting wet!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
