Question: What if PPD tuberculin skin test came out positive!?
does it necessary mean that person actually HAVE the
tuberculosis (even sleeping one) OR it means the person possibly have it,

A positive PPD means you came in contact with the bacteria at some point and your body is amking antibodies against it!. Usually they'll do a chest X-ray to see if there's aything going on in your lungs!. If not, you're probably clear!. Also, if you grew up in a country where people are routinely given BCG (a TB vaccine), you're PPD will always be positive!. So, no, a doc can't diagnose just based on the PPD - it's just a screen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
