Answers:
Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) is more immediately dangerous!. Deterioration can be very rapid, leading to a life-death situation in minutes!.

I guess, as this question was asked in the diabetes section, that you're talking of someone that's diabetic!. There are treatments available for someone that is severely hypoglycemic but these are generally only available on prescription!.

High blood sugar (hyperglycemia), although dangerous, sometimes fatally, is generally a slower process!. All the time blood sugar levels remain high, damage is being done to internal organs!.

Treatments for someone that is severely hyperglycemic includes being admitted to hospital, where they will be connected to a pump delivering a 'sliding scale' of insulin, with frequent checks made on the blood sugar level!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To cut to the point, low blood sugar is more dangerous than high blood sugar!.
However, keep it in mind that both are dangerous!.
Let me explain what is blood sugar and how body ajusts blood sugar!.

1!. Defenition!.!.!.!.
Blood sugar is defined as the density of glucose!.
Body always efferts to adjust blood sugar in a normal range, 90mg/dl !.
That is, a few hormons are needed to ajust blood sugar density in normal range!.
If secretion of these kinds of hormons get some problems in human body, the normal blood sugar level, 90mg/dl get higher or lower!.
We call usually this disease as diabetes!.
According to doctors' words, steady exercise can lower the level of sugar density!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wrong!. Low is more acutely dangerous because it is an emergency to have low blood sugar!.!.!. it causes stupor, then coma, then death!. High blood sugar is dangerous over the long haul because it is hard on the organs and can cause stroke and multi-organ failure over time!. However, many people have high blood sugar and don't even know it because their bodies are accustomed to the high level!. The damage is slow and gradual, not an acute danger that merits rushing to the emergency room!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My doctor and I actually had this conversation many years ago when I was first diagnosed!. She said although high blood sugar can damage some of your bodies organs, and make you feel bad, low blood sugar is much worse because it can kill you quickly!. High blood sugar takes years to possibly kill you, but low blood sugar, just one time if it is bad enough can put you in a coma and lead to death very soon afterwards if you don't do something about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Both can be deadly serious!. Low blood sugars will cause immediate problems while high blood sugars take much longer to cause problems!. It is essential for a diabetic to be informed about his/her disease and taught how to control it!. BTW - thanks for the reminder - I need to go take my insulin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Both are dangerous, but low even moreso!. Your body can compensate up to a degree for high blood sugar!. But eventually high blood sugar will lead to Type II Diabetes!. Low blood sugar is always immediately life-threatening!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Both!. High or low are very dangerous!. Keep a steady day-to-day regulatory level of blood glucose levels!. Extremes are always bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
