Question: My daughter has a cyst on a kidney!!?
Can anyone who has or had a cyst on the kidney give me any information!? The dr!. has told me that my 15 year old as a small cyst on a kidney, but not to be alarmed!.
He did say she would need to have it checked once a year, but other than that!.!.!.!.not to worry!.
The word cyst isn't something that I can just wipe out of my mind!. Any one ever had this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

"Renal Cyst" especialy solitary (Just one lonely cyst in one kidney) is a benign condition, does not cause any serious problem!.
They might regress, (disappear)!. They are usualy
diagnosed by routine ultrasound or CT done for something else!. Worst senario is they might enlarge and the treatment again is a simple needle aspiration!.
Do not be scared, remove the "Cyst" phobia from your mind!. It is not a cancer or anything to be paraniod about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My husband has polycycstic kidney disease which has multiple cysts on both kidneys!. Your child has only one and it is quite normal for people to have these on other organs as well!. Just do follow ups like he said!. Polycycstic kidneys is a really bad, life altering disease, requiring dialasis or a transplant later in life!. Watch out if more start to develop!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
