Am I TB positive?!
Question: Am I TB positive!?
I have my TB test two days ago and today when I went to the clinic for the result it came out 5mm!. I wonder if that is consider as positive or not!? I'm Asian by the way and I had my TB immunization back home 'Philippines" before I came here to US!. I been here 5 years now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

5mm or greater is a positive skin test!. They are going to give you a chest x-ray now!. You may have had a false positive, which do happen!. Why did the nurse or doctor not tell you anything, and why didn't you ask!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Just because your TB testing area may seem larger is does not always signify infection, for example you may have just been exposed to TB but not have the illness!. Also, the positive results very on your age and health status!. Your clinician will be able to go over everything with you, and if you don't understand always ask questions! Hope this helps a little!

i dont kno about this one but when i went to get mine, i came back within 2 days for my results and all the doctor did was rub his finger along where he have me the shot!.!.i guess if he feels a bump!.!.it can consider being positive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have no idea of what that means!. They could be talking about the size of the TB cells!. You should ask the people in your clinic about this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
the person who gave u the test should have told u whether or not it was positive when you went back to get it checked!.!.!.if she didnt say anything, im assuming youre fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
