Question: If autism is genetic, why does it seem to take a long time before it "kicks in!?"!?
I've read and seen on t!.v!. and talked to many parents whose children were completely normal, then one day lapsed into autistic symptoms like stemming!.

How does the medical establishment explain this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Very good question!. Let's say a genetic defect is causing something to work amiss, then fix it!. I hate the way people use the genetic excuse to not fix the problem -- as if its genetic, so lets not do anything about it!. Well, there are things we can do, genetic or not!. Thousands of children with autism are ridding their symptoms enough to attend regular school with no modifications by ridding toxins and pathogens, special diets, etc!. Thus, even if there is a genetic component, there HAS to be also other components, or these kids would still have full symptoms!. My children use to have autism, and their problems appear to be borrelia, Bartonella, Babesia, measles virus from the vaccines, and toxins!. Thus, study what people are doing to make these children well, and don't let the whole genetic theory put a halt to this effort!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's actually the exception rather than the rule for genetic diseases to be apparent since birth, and the reasons for this depend on the mechanisms!. Even Tay Sachs disease, which causes death before 5 years of age, doesn't really become obvious until months after birth - it requires a buildup of products which are not well metabolized due to a genetic defect!. Even more so is Huntington's disease, which is a purely genetic disorder usually fatal by 50 but is asymptomatic through childhood and early adulthood!.
Also, autism is a difficult example, though it likely has a genetic component, it is almost certainly not purely genetic, there are many sporadic cases, and the causes, both genetic and environmental, are not clear!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am 64 years old!. I do not remember not even ONE autistic child until this all started , when, 80"s!? I have given it a great deal of thought, and no, there were no autistic children when I was young!.
We had cerebral palsy, mongolism, couple twins who were retarded, one with ms!.!.but no autism!.
So, must be something during pregnancy or in childhood!.
I asked my mum once why she thought all these people were sick these days, taking piles of pills, having all sorts of diseases!.
She thought it was the processed food we eat, the chemicals added to it ,before and after harvesting , or during production!.
She said when people ate fresh foods from veggie garden and hen pen out back, fresh meat from butcher, fish right from the ocean, very few people were ill!.
And I believe she was right!.
Evidently there is something that triggers this autism to start!.!.!.I have such sorrow to see children suffering from autism !.!.!.Not sure docs have found it tho!.
They are now using vaccines without the mecury preservative, but they are still diagnosing children with autism!. And the medical establishment has only vague explainations!. Not good!.
It is a mystery for sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My PERSONAL belief is that nowadays people are eating on the run and don't have time to cook or eat healthy!. You can eat junk (that includes lots of carb) only so long and then the sugar from years of abuse starts to affect the body!.!.!.just as a person may get a heart attack, diabetes, etc as they age!. ALSO, as a child grows they have metabolic and hormonal changes that definately affects the central nervous system!. I have a relative who developed epilepsy at age 9 and they cannot find a reason!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've heard many stories lately (I!.E!. Charlie Sheen and his wife) where people are saying that the immunizations that kids are nowadays receiving are causing all of these disorders that people develop at a later point in time during their life such as Autism, ADHD, ADD, etc !.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
