The periferal blood flow is considered most up to date in minutes!. That in arm hand or other body parts isn't as up to date as fingers are!.

You get over the reaction of not wanting to prick!. Ok, lay the lancet holder near the side of your finger, do not use the center of the pad or the edge really close to nails, and push the button!. You will be really surprised that it doesn't hurt much at all!.

Nerves are in the center of the pad of the finger also near the nail!!! They are not so touchy on the edges of the pad!

Get pricking or the doctor will tell you that you have to inject!! and that is harder to do than just a little pricking!! But hurts much less too!!

My friend did a series of tests in a matter of maybe 5 minutes and used up a whole bottle of test strips to see what the difference was in fingers, palm pad of hand, arm, leg and butt!!

Each finger was different by about 5 points, arm testing and palm pad were 15 higher than fingers on one hand and 15 lower on the other hand!! Leg she didn't get much blood and she couldn't get blood out of her butt side, mostly because she couldn't see it before it dried!.

I have another friend who exclusively uses his toes due to loss of fingers in VN!! He keeps his toes in excellent condition for very good reason!.

It is very important for the health of your baby for you to attempt to keep your glucose levels as close to normal as possible!. High sugar babies are much much larger, usually have immediate glucose problems, and usually have heart problems at birth!.

Come on!! Pricking your finger is no worse than pricking it accidently while sewing, in fact hurts way less and bleeds much less as well!.

I quilt, embroider and make those fancy stitch baby clothes!! Pricking my finger deliberately is much less traumatic than stabbing it while doing a french seam!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you get more of a better reading on the fingers with the arm you can bruise and it dose not give the right sugar amount!.
your arms hands feet can swell so that is why the fingers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I read something that said it has to do with blood circulation !.!.!. blood flows to the fingertips faster!. So if you take blood from your arm, that will give you an older reading!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

as far as my sense says the blood is same but pricking your arm many times is much more painfull than pricking your finger!.as many time as u prick your arm vein u puncture your main vein which is ofcourse not wise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
