In this article from 2004, it says about 80,000 gallbladders are removed in US!. This was most recent I could find!.
However, when I googled: "how many gallbladders removed 2008 usa"; other older articles said 500,000 from like 1990 NY Times!. Another source also from the 90's said 300, 000!.
Maybe they're becoming less common!.
