Question: Any chronic sufferers of Allergic Rhinitis out there!?
Does anyone have really bad allergic rhinitis with a post nasal drip that isn't really relieved by medication!? What did your doctor do for you!? I went to a ear nose throat doctor a couple weeks ago and he gave me a medrol dose pack and it's not doing anyytthinggg for me!. What kind of problems do you have and how do you handle them!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've had post nasal drip for the last 25-30 years, and medications haven't really helped much!. I've tried all kinds of pills, syrups, sprays, to pretty much no effect!. I'd wake up with thick gobs of mucus coating my throat and spend an hour or two trying to hack it up every day!. The best thing I've found to deal with it has been a sinus rinse kit, it's something that I wish I'd known about years ago, it would have saved me a lot of money and aggravation!.
The sinus rinse or cleansing kits come in different styles, some are called netti pots and look like a coffee pot!. They use gravity to get the salt water through your sinuses!. I'm using a squeeze bottle type that you can gently spray the water up your nose to flush your sinuses!.
Ya, I know it sounds messed up, shooting saline water up your nose, but it helps flush out allergens, dust, and built up/excess mucus!. Since using it I've been able to breathe out of both nostrils for the first time in as long as I can remember, I am damned impressed!. I have chronic allergies, but I do pretty well if I take Clarinex (not Claritin) daily and use Nasocort spray!. You might also ask about an injection of Kenalog, the same stuff that's in Nasocort!. A 40 mg dose by injection might help you if you are really suffering!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
use pseudoephedrin :i also use a new nasal spray before going to bed(it will work the next day too)
