Question: I feel like my world is crashing down, today I found out I'm Pre-diabetic, what do I do!?
I'm feeling down!.!.!.!.!.I don't get it, I eat healthy and work out like crazy, I'm fuckn hot, why the hell do I have this!?

Listen to your wake up call and respond in force!. I had HbA1C of 12!.1 and daily finger prick reading of 600+!. I change my life style to a more health one!. No big MACs or other dumb food!. I watch my carbs and walk 4 miles a day to work!.

Today my HbA1C is 5!.5 with daily finger prick readings of 105/85!. I am healthier today than two years ago!. Yes, I am still diabetic, but very healthy!.

In my family, even if you work out and are normal weight, you seem to get diabetes!. However, it's good you were diagnosed now because you can do something about it!. I was told that I had pre-diabetes 2 weeks ago!. I found out that my clinic had classes on pre-diabetes and I took one a couple of days ago!. VERY helpful with a lot of concrete advice!. My class included a free meter and I was a little alarmed to discover that my blood sugar actually goes over 200 after a large meal!. Armed with that knowledge, I'm adjusting food and exercise so that these spikes are lots lower!. I'd like to get the recommended 30 minutes of exercise, but don't have the OK from my doc, so I do what I'm allowed!.

BTW, back in my 20s, I had a virus that appeared to damage my pancreas resulting in higher blood sugars although it repaired itself within a year!. So, illness can also be a factor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

okay you found out that you have diabetic you can either feel sorry for yourself or you can keep and try to better yourself!. if your over weight lose the weight, if you smoke stop smoking if you drink acholoc stop it runs in the family you can do alot to stop it for now just be glad you didn't live in the 1800 for that was a death senescence's so keep taking care of yourself and get the check up to see where you stand!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could be eating healthy and exercising all of the time, but when Type 2 Diabetes is in your family line, you've really got no **** show!. It runs in my family and it's one of things I rather dislike about my family!.

BUT, you can still prevent being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes!. If you keep up your healthy eating, along with daily exercise, you have a greater chance of NOT being diagnosed than if you slowed your exercise dramatically or even stopped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have pre-diabetes, you can and should do something about it!. Studies have shown that people with pre-diabetes can prevent or delay the development of type 2 diabetes by up to 58 percent through changes to their lifestyle that include modest weight loss and regular exercise!. The expert panel recommends that people with pre-diabetes reduce their weight by 5-10 percent and participate in some type of modest physical activity for 30 minutes daily!. For some people with pre-diabetes, intervening early can actually turn back the clock and return elevated blood glucose levels to the normal range

I felt the same about a month after I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes!. Like why me right!? I've played soccer my whole life, I've very active, I eat healthy, but yeah!.

My brother told me though that you're never given anything in life that you can't handle!. So take on the challenge, keep your head up!. Remember your surrounded by a ton of beautiful people who have a lot of info to share!. They all care for your well being, so you're never alone!.

I'm doing awesome by the way!.!. I've just accepted that my body didn't like my pancreas so much and decided to go ape sh!t on it haha!.

You could have what I have!. I have dsmetabolic syndrom!. Ask your doc about it!. My body doesnt digest any sugars, even complex ones!. So I have to be careful to eat enough or my sugar drops out and I pass out!. I am in good health otherwise and had it not been for me getting pregnant, they would have never found out!. Not everyone with diabetes is unhealthy!. Hope I helped!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
