My doc just diagnosed me w/ ASTHMATIC BRONCHITIS?!
Question: My doc just diagnosed me w/ ASTHMATIC BRONCHITIS!?
I don't seem to be able to do well or improve on inhalers!.
Does anyone else have this "ism" and have you had trouble with the meds!?
What can you tell me about ASTHMATIC BRONCHITIS!?
When I don't take anything, I cough up tons of sputum!.
When I take my meds, I still cough up tons of sputum!.
Then I an aflicted with "side effects"!.
I blackout while coughing!.
I now have a sore throat!. (listed on med as possilbe)
I cough all day long instead of just at night!.
This is just from Advair which I just started!.
I had been on albuterol inhaler and nebulizer!. (separately)
I was on symbicort, combivent, and xopenex!. (separately)
I've been to the ER with reactions to meds!.
I am so miserable, but I don't think I'm getting anywhere with doctors!.
I went to and asthma specialist, btw!.
What do you think I can do!?
What have you experienced!?

Are you being treated with both and antibodtic and a seperate steroid than the advair!? Asthmatic bronchitis is when you have asthma due to your bronchitis!. Also, when you are using your albuterol inhaler are you using a spacer with it!? You get the medicine more effectively with a spacer!. Also, advair probably won't make you cough if you just started it considering it takes a while to build up in your system as it is a long acting inhaler and not a "rescue" inhaler, meaning it takes time to start working, not right away!. Remember to rinse your mouth after using advair to prevent thrush!. If you've went to a pulminologist and they said this is it!.!.!.!.I'm sorry!.!.!.!.I don't know what to say!. They are the experts, sometimes you just have to wait it out unfortunately!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Even mild asthma can be flared up when you get Bronchitis!. And it takes longer to get over it!. I can't take Advair due to the side effects, but I have used Pulmicort with good results!. Talk to your Dr!. and see if there is something else you can try!. Unfortunately the only way for you to get the phlegm out is to get it out, coughing!. Hang in there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Asthma and Bronchitis are 2 different diseases!. Asthma is a neurological dysorder, and bronchitis is infection of the wind pipes!. For bronchitis you should take antibiotics, but for asthma, a neurological dysorder, you should be checked for neuro invasive viral attack of your respitory center of the brain!.
