It dose not itch much, just a little bit every once in a while!. I am just worried as I thought it was suppossed to show up right away, and not last this long!. i used to get it all the time playing in the woods
and yea, it does take a few days to show up and it does spread the more you itch it because its contagious
it can last a short time or long
just depends on how you treat it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try colloidal oatmeal bath and get some caladryl lotion!. Oral benadryl will take the itch away, too!. If it doesn't get better pretty quickly, go see a doctor and get a shot!. Poison ivy is miserable!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Different people have different reactions to the poison!. It is a plant oil and the irritation occurs as small amounts of it get in the pores and hair follicles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

use benedryl as directed and see your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok, everyone will react to poison ivy different!. generally it will not show up right away so do not be alarmed!. poison ivy is oil based so do not scratch as this will cause it to spread!. Also make sure all the cloths you wore that day have been washed good and keep changing your bed sheets!. if symptoms persist you can buy unflavored oatmeal grind it up in a blender and mix it with water or but it into a warm bath and bath in it!. this will dry your skin out speeding up the healing process!. if you get real bad and or swollen and have trouble breathing seek medical attention for benadryl but i think by now you would have had these symptoms!. anyway lucky for me i ma pretty much inune to it :) but have worked around it for years and have seen people get real bad, eyes swollen shut and all after a few days lol!. So just remember leaves of three leave it be! good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

That sounds strange!. Check out the clothes you wore a few weeks ago, have you come back into contact with them!.

First you should understand how poison ivy works!. It is the oil from the plant that you are allergic to!. It can get on clothes, sleeping bags, on anything and it stays, until you wash it off with soap and water!. If you get it on your skin you should wash with cool water and Soap!. Scratching spreads the oil, so wash your hands and any place it itches!.

At most drug stores you can get an over the counter pill called " POISON INV EXTRACT" from Washington Homeopathic Products!. Sounds scary, but IT WORKS!. If you take them before you are exposed then it will prevent the break out, if you take them after you are exposed it will make the rash go away in a day or two!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
