I have had clogged ears for 2ish weeks, please tell me this will go away?!

Question: I have had clogged ears for 2ish weeks, please tell me this will go away!?
1) Stuffy / clogged ears for almost 2 weeks now!. Began with just the right ear, now it's both!.
2) Went to the doctor 6 days ago; no wax in my ears; prescribed me amoxicillin; have ~3 days left til it's finished!.
3) Also taking Sudafed, Mucinex, and some Afrin (but trying not to overuse that)!. Going to start nasal rinsing this evening!.
4) There was not and is not any pain; does that mean it's not an ear infection!? I had a cough which was sort of bad but began to get better after I started antibiotics!.
5) Before I couldn't feel the fluid in my ears, but I'm starting to be able to now; is that good or bad!?

Please tell me this will go away; I'm becoming worried!. I've never had an ear infection or clogged ears like this before so I guess I don't know what to expect!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Middle ear infections are not always painful!.
Your doctor was able to look at your eardrum to diagnose infection!. A normal eardrum is pearly gray, an infected one either greenish or yellowish!.
Sudafed is an antihistamine!. You'll need to add a decongestant in order to allow your eustacian tubes to open and allow the fluid to drain into your throat (which is normal, by the way)!. You could also try an anti-inflammatory, like ibuprofen!.
If you're afraid to take all these things at once, talk to a pharmacist to get cleared!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

have you tried plugging your nose and gently blowing out the pressure!? (like if you are blowing up a balloon)------I have had ear problems my entire adult life (eustacian tube dysfunction) and this little trick usually helps!. I do it probably 20 or more times a day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have fluid retention in the middle or inner ear!. Continue with the decongestants and antihistamines!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like an ear infection, which is probley why your doctor prescribed an antibiotic!. Just keep taking it and it should go away!. If it doesnt, then go back to your doctor where he/she can take further steps!. Remember that sometimes you have to take more than one prescription to knock an infection out!.
You could also have water stuck in your ear!. Have you been swimming!? If so, then it will fall out on its own in as little as a day or all the way up to a month!.
Be patient!. Everything will straighten up!

Hope this helps!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

As a last effort you might try the following:
1!. Buy a can of Simply Saline!.
2!. Lie on the bed, on your back, with your head hanging over the edge!.
3!. Spray some saline into your nose!.
4!. As you spray inhale deeply!. I know this is uncomfortable but it needs to be done!.
5!. Lay there for a few minutes!.
6!. Cover your nose with a tissue and sit up!. The water will rush out!.!.blow as it's coming out!. Repeat every 4-6 hours!. Our
noses ears and throats are connected!. This may not help but a doctor told my husband to do this after he came down with the flu and had to fly on a plane!. His ear drums were so swollen they were ready to pop!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
