Answers:
There are other types of cancer related to the chest and chest wall including breast cancer !. !. so yes, it is possible for a 17 year old male to have cancer of the breast or a type of cancer in the soft tissue of the chest, diaphragm, lung, heart, blood vessels, muscles, fats !. !. you name it !. !. many times young people dismiss lumps found on their bodies because they feel fine!. But cancer is not necessarily painful, especially in the early stages !. !. tumors or lumps can co-exist nicely inside the body for quite some time!. Sometimes the ONLY warning sign a young person has that they have cancer is that unusual lump or bump !. !. especially if it seems to be growing!.

You need to be examined by a doctor to determine what this is !. !. no one here can really answer that because it needs to be clinically examined!. From your brief description !. !. cancer cannot be ruled out !. !. even though it is rare in teens and most importantly !. !. because even though it might not be breast cancer it might be another type more likely to occur in a young male (which is sarcoma)!.

Other types of cancer that show up in the area you describe include rhabdomyosarcoma and types of Ewings sarcoma!.

Chest wall rhabdomyosarcoma!.

You are very, very unlikey to have breast cancer!.

Breast cancer is largely a disease of ageing - 80% of those diagnosed are over 50!. In addition, more than 99% of those diagnosed are female!. This makes your chances very close to zero!.

It is most likely that your lump is hormonal - what you desribe is not unusual in adolescent boys!.

BUT you need to check it with your doctor; s/he will be used to such concerns and will take you seriously, and hopefully will be able to reassure youWww@Answer-Health@Com

Look, even though it may seem impossible, men (sorta) have breasts!.
Not the kind women have, obviously!.

Men CAN get breast cancer!.
Make an appointment with your doctor IMMEDIATELY!.
You can kill the cancer, God forbid that you do, before it gets bad!.
Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Men can get breast cancer!. It is rare but when it does happen, it is usually an agressive cancer but the best thing you can do is get it checked by your doctor, because it can also be a cyst which you may need a biopsy!. Better safe than sorryWww@Answer-Health@Com

go ahead and have a doctor check it out- given your age (and gender) breast cancer seems unlikely, though!.
HOWEVER- know that it IS possible for males to develop breast cancer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
