Change the type of pillow as this can cause your head to sweat in turn will make your head itchy, feather pillows seem to be particularly a problem with this as they cause your head to be hot and make you sweat, the sweat causes your scalp to dry which makes it itchy, or simply cover the pillow with another pillowcover or towel this will help reduce the heat given off by the pillow and sweat less

A small dime sized amount of undiluted Hair Conditioner rubbed into the hair will help moisturize hair and scalp before bed and reduce itching

It could be headlice - and she's feeling the itching because she's got nothing to take her mind off it (lol - am I the only one who gets an itchy scalp the second someone metions lice or nits!?)

But it's more likely to be a slight allergic reaction to the soap powder she uses (allergies can develop over time)!.

It could also simply be that she's simply not be getting all the shampoo and conditioner out of her hair!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Check for headlice, using a fine toothed comb (available from pharmacists) and hair conditioner (comb the conditioner off, don't rinse it)!. In hot weather, you can pick lice up from public transport upholstery, or by your hair touching an infested head!.

Also check for psoriasis, which can occur on the scalp!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you/has she tried changing her/your pillow!? Could be that the filling is affecting her/your scalp by promoting a heat rash/sweat reaction!. Either change it to a natural filling (feathers) or try a hypoallergenically filled one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Might be a slight allergy or just a heat rash!. Try a nightly Piriton tablet or other over-the-counter antihistamine for a few days!. If it doesn't go away, see your GP!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This could be caused by heat absorbtion!.

The best thing to try is a medicated shampoo, usually this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
