Any ideas on what this could be?!

Question: Any ideas on what this could be!?
Okay I am so frustrated I have taken my 6 month old daughter to three different doctors since Friday and none of them seem to have a clue!. My daughter is coughing so hard that its causing her to projectile vomit and it is really mucousy!. She has no apetite at all anymore(She used to eat 7 5 oz bottles a day and now shes lucky if she gets two down without throwing it back up)!. I know something is wrong with her!.!.shes so fussy and is not sleeping and this is not my daughter at all!. The pediatrician today told me she has bronchitis and asthma!.!.!.but if she had this why wouldn't she prescribe her anything to help it!? The only thing she gave me to give her was a nebulizer!.!.I know something is wrong any suggestions on what it could be!?! I am really at wits end with these dumb doctors that won't help me!.!.Obviously if shes sick and they even tell me somethings wrong but won't give her anything to help her feel better!.!.what more can I possibly do!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

That poor baby, Have you thought about maybe taking her to a respiratory doctor!. If she might have bronchitis and asthma than they would be able to tell you what to do!. I have bronchitis, and even tho I'm a adult I know how she feels if that's what she has!. I think the reason for the vomiting is because she is coughing so hard, try to have her inhale some steam, turn your hot water on in the bathroom and let it get real steamy in there and just sit in there with her, the steam will help break up the phlegm and make her cough more productive!. Also try to lay off the milk, juice's or pedalite ( i think thats how you spell it), try to give her jar baby food!. The milk makes the mucus thicker and harder to cough up!. Good luck and I hope she feels better soonWww@Answer-Health@Com

My son also has bronchitis and asthma!. He was given an antibiotic along with a liquid albuterol!. That helped a lot!. The doctor also said to use benadryl to help him rest!. You may want to take her back to the doctor and ask him/her for the same meds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nebulizer sounds fine to me for bronchitis!.
Drugs aren't always the answer, especially with a child as young a 6 months!. A simple antihistamine, to help dry up the mucous can cause brain damage in a child that young!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well for one,ir you think about it one benadryl will knock out a big person!. so the meds for a 6 month like wat 10 lb baby would put it in a coma it is dumb to think that you caould get that certain amount just rightWww@Answer-Health@Com

it's a diseaseWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yea, I have two of three daughters who will caugh or cry so hard that they projectile vomit!. Muculent vomit only means that her stomach was empty!. Keeping her calm and treating the cough is probably the best bet!. Keep in mind that the doctors can only diagnose as well as you can explain the symptoms!. Many illnesses have very similar symptoms!. The fact that you are refering to the doctors as dumb show that you don't respect the doctors' desicions!. Did you know that there is an intestinal virus that will last up to a week!. The doctors can only tell what is statistacally normal!. If they look for all the crazy abnormal stuff, then health care costs will skyrocket!. If you are so smart, perhaps you can recall the Hypocratic oath, that doctors will do more good than harm!. If they do not know EXACTLY what to do, then do nothing unless your baby's life is in eminent danger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be Bronchitis and asthma!.

If he gave you a nubulizer, that IS a prescription!. Don't withhold it!. You want something more!? Why!? They always give babies and small children the smallest amount of meds that will possibly work because it safest that way!.

Use the nebulizer and watch for changes!. If it can get her a good night's sleep, that can make all the difference in the world!.

(FYI - Some kids get speedy on the Albuterol (probably what he prescribed with the nebulizer) and need a different med in there!.!.!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com
