Hi,

I already answered someone here about psoral cream from Israel, it effective and fast relief for the disease!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depending on where the lesions are located, the following are very helpful!.

For OTC, I have found Balnetar Tar Bath Oil helps reduce redness in just a few days!. You have to have it ordered by your pharmacy and is costly, not to mention it smells and you have to soak in it for 15 mins or more but it works really well!.

Lots of sun exposure but don't mix it with the above!. Your ability to burn increases when using most psoriasis treatments!.

If it's very, very minimal, you might try OTC cortisone creme on small patches, this will help reduce the redness and swelling usually within a day or so of use!.

Keeping the area moist is the best and don't scratch it, it could become infected and increase your chances of it spreading!. Shea Butter is a great moisturizer and is found in most lotions and cremes!. I would recommend the creme vs lotion as it is thicker and keeps moisture in longer!.

Once you start treatment, you have to stay constant with it or you risk another flare up!. Even if you see great improvement, it is best to continue treatments so you don't relapse!.

You can also soak in a warm bath of baby oil, this helps keep moisture in if you live in dryer climates!. Just be careful not to slip!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have severe psoriasis, the best treatment, in my opinion, is Remicade infusions!. I have had psoriasis for almost 30 years!. When I get bad flareups it can cover over 50% of my body!. Not only is it embarrassing but it is extremely painful!. When the psoriasis plaques go deep enough and cover a large area the plaques interfere with joint movement!.

Remicade is a biological treatment that is given in 2- to 3-hour infusions as an outpatient!. For a summary of how biologics work, go to this link:

http://www!.psoriasis!.org/treatment/psori!.!.!.

As to how good and how fast Remicade works on psoriasis: After my first treatment my plaques were significantly less red and stopped itching!.

After the second treatment the plaques seemed to sink down and turned from bright red and inflammed to a very pale red!. When I am getting new plaques I also get an outbreak of guttate psoriasis!. They look like little bumps that itch worse than anything on earth!. All the bumps of new guttate psoriasis disappeared!.

After the second treatment I noticed I was forgetting to take my pain medications!. I normally take a high dose of narcotics every day and most days without treatment I keep looking at the clock trying to hold out the 12 hours between doses!. And here I was FORGETTING it was time to take my meds!!

I have now had 3 treatments and all the psoriasis on my arms, hands, fingers, elbows and legs have disappeared!. Gone!
It will take a few more treatments for the largest areas of psoriasis to disappear, but past experience tells me that it can and it WILL!.

The downside is that this medication is very very expensive!. If you have good medical insurance you can get it very easily!. A disabled person on social security has a hard time!. I found a charitable organization that helped me with a grant for a year allowing me to have treatment!.

Westcort!. You can try a 1% over the counter creme but the only thing that works fast is a 2% that you need to get via your Dr!.

It's cortisone you put on topically!. Other cremes work but leave a scaley residue behind!. Westcort seems to minimize this and it works in one day!.!. Keep putting it on daily to keep outbreaks away!.

BTW, sometimes you might have to change brands because your body becomes immune!. This helps too!. Also, generic brands don't work for diddly!. Get the original!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Prevention is key for skin problems!. I had eczema so bad that my legs are actually scarred!. Limit the amount of HOT shower/baths you take( a daily shower actually helps your skin), don't change soaps, detergents, etc!. Moisturize daily, you skin needs a barrier between you and the irritants!. I use Neutrogena Body Emulsion, there is an unscented version!. It's about $8 a bottle, but worth it!. As far as fast try the over the counter "scrape spray" such as lanacane!. Or hydro cortisone works too!. the scrape spray just keeps it clean and kinda numbs it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's horses for courses as they say!. What works good for one doesn't necessarily work for another (with the exception of maybe steroidal medications; and those do more harm than good)!. You may want to try anti-psoriasis cream and spray from http://www!.champori!.com : it is the best medicine for Psoriasis in MY book (it's herbal and it's been keeping me clear for more than a year now)!. If it doesn't work for you - it's free: they have money back guarantee!.
Best,

Stas P!. tells you that Psoral is good: Not True!. Psorol is a known sham medicine!. Don't waste your money on it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
