Question: My WEIRD allergies! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
OK!. Im very allergic to fish, cats, ragweed, and dust!. My question is, how come i can eat tuna but not other fish!? that is weird!. i know!. i dont really like tuna, but one time i ate it cos my cuz had said it was chicken and it soo wasnt but i didnt get an allergic reaction!. any one know why!? thanx!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is definitely possible to be allergic to most fish but not to tuna!.
Some of us with food allergies cannot eat entire families of foods!. Onions, for example, are related to leeks!. Often, people who are allergic to onions cannot have leeks, either!.
On the other hand, some do just fine with foods in the same family!. For example: wheat is one grain in a large family called the cereal grains!. This family is related to grass and includes oat, rye, barley, rice, buckwheat, and corn!. Wheat is one of the most common food allergens; however, these same people can usually handle the other members of this food family with no problems at all!.

It may be a particular enyzme or chemical in the other fish that your allergic to!. Then again it could have been something that was paired with the fish that caused the allergic reactions to occur in the past!. Best thing is to be careful eating all fish products, and see if your doctor will give you an epi-pen if you have really severe allergies!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
may be you had put something on the fish[accidently]

There are different types of seafood, (fish crustacean, shellfish) you may be allergic to only one group of seafood and not the others!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
