Question: What about Scabies in a Nursing Home!?
We just found out that my Mother's room mate has scabies and that the room is under quarentine!. How easily would it have been for us to bring this into our home!? The nurse said this is a very common problem in nursing homes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is usually passed by direct physical contact with the infected area on the other person, or with recently infested clothing!.
Handshakes! If you didn't touch the roomate, it's unlikely you were infected!.
Personal items !.!.!. if you didn't handle the infected person's things, it's unlikely you were infected!. (sharing gloves, shirts and other clothing)
