What should I make of a warm/itchy feeling in my recently gauged ear?!

Question: What should I make of a warm/itchy feeling in my recently gauged ear!?
I had my ears pierced years ago when I was about two!. Now nineteen I decided to begin stretching my ear lobes or gauge my ears!. I started at an 18g originally moved to 16g for 3 months and this past weekend I moved up to a 14g!.

My right ear took the 14g pincher [this is a pincher: http://thumbs1!.ebaystatic!.com/pict/28019!.!.!. fabulously!. My left year resisted, but nothing a little more lube couldn't remedy!.

I was in the midst of working my gauge around just to get my left ear as comfortable as my right when it started itching and felt really warm!. No where near burning but just uncomfortable!.

Has one familiar with the stretching process every experienced this or know what the warm/itchy feeling means!? Should I be concerned at all!?

There is no bleeding, crusting, or sign of infection!. Thought I'd mention!.

PLEASE ONLY THOSE FAMILIAR WITH THIS SORT OF THING RESPOND!. SAVE MY TIME AND YOUR OWN AND KEEP NEGATIVE COMMENTS TO YOURSELF!.

Thanks, dudes!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's just like when you get your ears pierced, your body is treating the gouging like something strange and foreign and it is trying to reject it and that is where the itching is coming from and the warmth is coming from the excessive circulationWww@Answer-Health@Com

I know what you're talking about!. My ears were stretched to a 0!. It shouldn't be a big deal!. You apparently know what you're doing and aren't being an idiot by hopping gauges every few days like some people!. I could be small rips you make!. It never did anything to me and I felt it!. Just keep it clean! I applaud you for being responsible about it, though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This just means it's trying to adjust and heal!. If there's no bleeding or open wounds, you have absolutly nothing to worry about!. Your ear will adjust to the new size!. Nothing can really happen if you didn't break any skin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

that just means that the skin is healing it is a good thing :)

Generally, when you have a wound (which this is) it will be warm and itchy as it starts to heal- this is actually the body producing new skin!

You'll be fine!Www@Answer-Health@Com
