Answers:
It depends on the severity of the defect!. Mild forms like a small ventricular septal defect has a near normal life span while a severe one like hypoplastic left heart syndrome has very limited life span without surgical treatment!. But most severe defects are now treatable with either surgical or device therapy so that long term outlook is much better than what it was a few decades ago!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
