Heart beating funny?!

Question: Heart beating funny!?
I have been on Nexium for 3 years for hiatal hernia!. So now for the last 2 years, at times my heart beats strange!. It feels like it pauses for less than a second than does a little flip flop for a second before it beats normal again!. It is scary and I have gone in to the ER for this, I am told I have acid flex, GURD!. I was also told the "plumbing" of my heart is fine, however the "electrical" part isn't okay!. I"m 35 healthy othewise!!~

I have worn a 24 hour holter monitor, which showed I have irregular heartbeats!. Take nothing for this!.

Anyone experience anything like this, what medical test were done to help "fix" the ugly heart beating feeling!?

I do not eat or drink anything with cafferine, no citrus, no tomatoes, onions - so it's not my eating habitsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like PVC's to me (premature ventricular contractions)!. I've had them for many years off and on!. I've been to a cardiologist, and nothing is wrong with my heart!.
More than anything else PVC's are a nuisance, but try this technique when PVC's are going on: take a deep breath then bear down (like you are pushing to go to the bathroom)!. Do this a couple times, and see if it helps - sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You probably have premature ventricular contractions which are very common!. I get them off & on especially when I am under alot of stress!. Its more of a nuiscance than it is harmful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry!. An irregular heartbeat is more common than you might think!. And!.!.!.it is also a genetic condition, meaning that other people in your family may also be experiencing or have experienced the flip-flop heartbeats you've described!. If doctors don't feel that you need medication to correct the irregularity, then you're doing okay!. The heart monitor provided further medical evidence that the irregular beating isn't serious enough to require further testing or medication!.

However, if you are still worried, make an appointment with your general physician & talk to him, especially if the flip-flops are interrupting your daily routine or if you're worrying excessively about it such that the worrying is making the condition worse!. It's possible that you need further testing!.!.!.possibly wearing a heart monitor for more than 24 hours!.

My questions for you:
1!. Is it possible that the irregular heartbeat is a side effect of Nexium!?
2!. Are dehydrated!? Be sure you're getting enough fluids as slight dehydration can make the flip=flops worse!.
3!. Have you been taking an antihistimine for allergies or a diuretic for edema or any other medication where an irregular heartbeat might be a side effect!? Medications that can result in dehydration such as the ones listed can contribute to an irregular heartbeat!.
4!. How's your stress level!? Stress is a definite contributor & exacerbator of an irregular heartbeat!. By stress, I mean both physical & emotional stress!.
5!. Do you notice the flip-flops more after you've been active & are sitting/relaxing!? If so, this is common!.
6!. Who else in your immediate family is experiencing or has experienced an irregular heartbeat!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
