White Blood Cell Counts slightly high/others OK?!
Question: White Blood Cell Counts slightly high/others OK!?
Hi!. Was wondering if I could get an answer on these results!. Doc said all was "Good" but when I got a copy of the results, of course, I wondered!.!.!.Here they are:
White blood Cell count - 14!.0 (range 3!.8-10!.8 is normal) High
Neurtrophils - High 10,000 (range 7800 normal)
Red Blood Cell Count - Normal
Hemoglobin - Normal
Hematocrit - Normal
MCV-normal
MCH - 33!.1 (27-33 is normal) High
MCHC-normal
Platelet Count - normal
Lymphocytes - normal
Monocyctes - normal
Eosinophils-normal
Basophils - normal
So all was normal except:
WBC 3!.8-10!.8 is normal but mine *14!.0
Neurtophils - 7800 normal but mine 10,000
Doc said "no problems" even when I asked him directly, he had no concerns and said maybe I was fighting a small infection!?
Any ideas!?

yes that is normal!. it is rated high but is still close to normal, your doctor is right, your body must probably be having "maintenance" over some parts!. don't worry about it!. cheer up :) you'll do well :)

I just went thru a bout of this !.!. felt great, no symptoms !.!. but high white count !.!.!.!. turned out to be a mild case of hystoplasmosis !.!.!. a lung infection from bacterial spores from bat and bird droppings !.!.!.!. go figure !.!.!. doc said it should clear up on it's own, but I took moxyfloxen !.!. a drug to kill the little bugs !.!.!. all cleared up!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Probably a minor infection, but I'd be concerned about leukemia or mono if it does not go down soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yes all it means is that some where in your body the white blood cells are in a little cluster fighting off infection calm down your not dyingWww@Answer-Health@Com
