How long does it take to get rid of head lice?!

Question: How long does it take to get rid of head lice!?
My mum just found head lice in my sister's hair and it is very likely that I have them as well!

They are outside now, buying the treatment stuff but I was wonering how long it takes before they are gone, if you use the treatment thoroughly!?

Please don't tease, we have very clean hair, but things like this happens!

Any other adive would be greatly appreciated! =) Thanx!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The shampoo treatments need to be done again in 14 days!. The nits (the eggs) aren't killed by the shampoo, but the adult lice are!. In 14 days the eggs are hatched and the now adult lice are hit again with the shampoo and hopefully all killed off!.
Personally, my kids kept getting re-infested from school!. So I bought a Robi-comb!. It is an electronic comb you comb your hair and it zaps the lice!. I find it fantastic! much better than the shampoo and cheaper in the long run!.
Funny enough lice love clean hair, as the hair shaft is easier to grab onto!.
It isn't fun to have the little buggers, I have had them too and I am an adult!
So to answer your question, about 2 weeks to really make sure they are gone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

mine went in about 3 days!. maybe a week at the most!.
but it depends on the length of your hair!.
the last time i had them was four years ago and i had long hair back then and i used like two bottles of the stuff you have to put on your hair!. and some of them are really expensive!. but i guess its better than having a head full of insects!. ha!.
it makes you feel like **** though but everyone gets them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
