Question: I have high blood SGPT (=56 mmol/litre) along with constipation (bowel once in 5days)!.!.!?
For over years
what it suggests about my disease of liver!?
what's the treatment of it ,may be eating some special diets for lowering it!?!?
Btw i have to take several anti-depressive,anxiolytic and anti-hypertentive medicines (by doctors advice)

SGPT has nothing to do with constipation!. Do you drink!? That might be the cause of your elevated SGPT!. Is your SGOT also high!?
Your lab results suggest there is something going on with your liver!. Your doctor will probably suggest some other tests such as hepatitis markers!.
You should take the herb, milk thistle!. It has virtually no side effects and helps to heal a damaged liver!. Get some at the heath food store and take as directed!. Limit drinking and follow a low fat, low sugar diet high in fruits and vegatables!.
Your doctor should have told you that some, but not all, anti depressives can elevate your liver enzymes also!. Your SPGT is only a little bit high so try not to worry!. I'm sure your doctor will talk to you and if he was worried about it, he surely would have run a lot more tests!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
