It sounds like a stye more than a cyst!. Its is formed most of the time when you get dirt into a small duct and it swells shut that producing swelling!. They usually aren't dangerous but do not ignore them if the area gets larger consult your physician!. Most of the time a warm moist compress will decrease the swelling and it will go away!. Also you can contract it from using old eye make up or someone elses because after awhile using the makeup it gathers bacteria from your eye lashes!.(dirt and dead skin cells) Hope you get better hope this helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I get them all of the time, just don't touch it with your hands and you will have nothing to worry about =-)

Small lumps or bags filled with fluid that form on the upper or lower eyelids are called cysts!. A cyst is caused when an oil-producing gland in the eyelid becomes blocked and in some cases, infected!. There are times when a cyst can enlarge to the point that vision is affected!. And sometimes a cyst will remain small and disappear on its own without the need for medical treatment!. There are also times when a cyst will remain and enlarge to a size that causes pressure on the cornea!. This can cause a slight impairing of the vision!. Treatment of a cyst may consist of applying a warm compress to the eye or your doctor may prescribe antibiotics!. In some cases, surgery may be needed to remove the cyst!. A chalazion cyst is an inflammation and swelling in one or more of the oil glands of the lid margin (meibomian glands)!. An acute infection of a meibomian gland is called an acute chalazion or internal hordeolum!. This type of chalazion is often loosely referred to as a "sty!." A sty is an infection that can occur at the base of the eyelashes!. Acute chalazions often respond well to hot compresses and the instillation of antibiotic drops or ointment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i had a cyst behind my eardrum it is just a skin growth that is not supposed to be there its not dangerous to have but if you can feel it i would go have it checked out just to be on the safe side because i had mine in my ear for about 6 years and didnt know it was there until almost 50% of my hearing was gone but its just gonna grow slower and slower and get bigger until you get treated!. but the real only treatment is pretty much surgery but you said yours is small it should be like a 2 min procedure not long at all!. just have it checked out!. you'll feel better about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A cyst is a fluid filled sac, usually filled with sweat but sometimes other liquids!. If its on your eyelid its called a chalazion cyst!. You will need to have it looked at by a doctor if you want it gone!. He could prescribe you eye drops or ointment!. I would go see the doctor because it could continue to get larger!. If it continues to grow it can effect your vision, but it isn't dangerous while its still small!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i had them all of the time when i was on accutane!.

CYST is a spherical swelling
cyst formed by BACTERIA!!
they become DANGEROUS if you scratched it !.!. if you are irritated apply cold compress on your eye!!

no they are not that dangerous, but it will go away in a few days!.
they can be from using eye makeup etc!. and it will go away faster if you put a hot cloth on it!. But going to the doctor wont help cuz there is no medicine that they can give you for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no!. what you have is a Sty!.!.!.another word for cyst!. its kind of like a pimple that doesn't come to a head!. the best thing you can do for it is to leave it alone and maybe put a warm rag on it, and it will take a couple of days for it to go away!. i am not sure what causes them!. my mother always said it was from dirty hands!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its not dangerous!.!. dont worry!.!. i honesly have ganglean cyst on my right wrist!.!. they wanted to remove it but i donesnt bother me!.!. if it doesnt go away then may be you should get it checked on!.!. but for now donte worry!.!. it is just thick liquid in a certian spot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

my friend got those periodically, shegets them from stress, but they never hurt her, just wait it out but if it really does bother you and continues to happen I would go to a doctor to make sure that there is no underlying health reason to why it is happeningWww@Answer-Health@Com

its sounds like a sty and they are only gotten rid of by buying that stuff for them at the pharmacy you dont' have to see doctor but it has to go into theeye and it does it good and i am sure it hurts right it will get bigger ans swell and painful take care!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like a stye!.It may take a couple of days for it to go away!.Try applying warm compresses to it every few hours!.It can become infected if you irritate it!.It should be ok,if it does not go away in a couple of days then I would go to the Dr!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's probably an in-grown eye lash!. If it comes to a head, like a pimple, pluck the hair, and drain the (pimple)!. A sty is a red spot, around the eye lashes, and a cyst,is more like a knot of skin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your family doctor should prick the cyst and provide you a prescription to disinfect the site!. Eye tissue heals much faster than other body tissue!. But, don't play around with the problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No - that is a 'sty'!. A small skin colored bit that is a pain in the butt until it goes away!. Not such you can do but it WILL go away on it's own!. Warm compress will help a bit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its called a sty not a cyst, it will go away on its own, don't rub it, there is over the counter medicine for itWww@Answer-Health@Com

Its not unusual to have a sty!.!.!.!.!.apply a warm compress throughout the day and it will go away in a couple of days!. also make sure you are not touching it too much and WASH YOUR HANDS constantly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like a stye, put a warm compress over it- whatever you do, do not try to pop it!. It can get worse or deform your eye!. I don't they're dangerous, but they can be very painful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
