Question: Is it normal for pus to come out when having a tongue piercing!?
I got my tongue pierced 3-4 weeks ago and just recently yesturday pus was coming out and today just a little but it was yellow pus!. Is that normal or does it mean its getting infected!? or more better can i just take it out because i dont want it no more but i dont want it to get infected if i take it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no! pus is *never* a normal thing to come out of something that is healing! its a big sign of infection!
it will only continue to get more infected unless you take it out, so take it out, keep your mouth clean by brushing your teeth 3 times a day and rinsing with slightly diluted listerine 3 times a day!.

YES! yellow pus is an indicator of infection!. If you can remove the tongue piercing without excruciating pain then go ahead and do that!. Since it is a weekend, start swishing your mouth out with warm saline that you can make at home with a teaspoonful of salt in a 20oz bottle of water!. If it gets worse, you begin to run fever or it swells bigger with the piercing out, go see an ER doctor before Monday and get on some antibiotic!. We see these frequently in the ER, so you will not be the first!. We don't make fun of you, either!.!.!.!.we just take out the piercing and help you get rid of the infection!.

I got mine pierced on the 12th of last month!.!.and mine did pus a tiny bit for the first few days or so!.!.!.but its stopped after that!. Just rinse your mouth with half listerine half water!.!.after every meal so it doesnt get infected!.!.!.!.thats what i did & mine is fine!.!.!.it makes your breath smell gross especially in the morning though lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
