in the following categories:
1) Helps with dandruff
2) Helps with itching

I've used them all and one hasn't worked better than the others, so if anyone else has a preference I'd love to hear it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You know, interestingly enough, I'm in healthcare and I had a really bad dandruff problem (when I was about 20) that required a very weird formula!. I thought I just had dry scalp and tried lots of stuff!. I finally went to a dermatologist and he told me that often times, dandruff is due to a fungus!. I also had dry, flaky spots right on the corners of my nose (in the fold where the nares meet the cheeks) and at the inner corners of my eyebrows!. He said those spots and the dandruff are classic symptoms or this and its really common!. Even he got 'em! I'm inclined to believe him because his regimen worked for me!.

He put me on a ketoconazole shampoo (available OTC as Nizoral AD shampoo- not regular Nizoral!) and a tar shampoo (very stinky!)!. He also had me use desonide cream on my face!. I used the tar shampoo 2X a week and the ketoconazole shampoo 3-4X a week!. I used the desonide cream twice daily!. It took about 6 weeks to get it under control!. Now, I just use ketoconazole shampoo about 2x a week!. None of these smell nice but I just use conditioner afterwards!.

My sister just uses Neutrogena's tar shampoo!. My dad just rubs in some ointment (VO5 I think)!. The two of them say their dandruff is controlled!. I was the only one that saw a dermatologist and I think mine is good now!. And you know what's funny about all this!? All 3 of us are pharmacists!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Same here!. I tend to stick with head and shoulders, although they have come out with so many different varieties, and I really don't care for some of them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
