Prevent ringworm from spreading??!

Question: Prevent ringworm from spreading!?!?
I have ringworm on my abdomen, and i think it is spreading to my arms/legs/feet and maybe even face!. I just itch in these places i dont have any rings yet!. Any way, what freaks me out is i dont want to get it on my scalp, because i have Dread locks!!! if i get it there, ill surely have to loose my hair! i just got them done in may, and they're starting to look cool! anyone know if any treatment that i could use on my head to prevent the ringworm there!?!?!? i dont want the cream to hurt my dreads!. It's very important that i use the right kinda shampoo on them so it doesnt undo the tangles!. Also, I ran out of the RX cream that my doc prescribed, what is the best OTC cream out there!? its sunday and i need approval for a refill and the itching is KILLING me!. THANKSWww@Answer-Health@Com

Are you sure it's ringworm!? It doesn't sound like it to me!. It would usually show up with rings right away and it doesn't typically itch that bad--some but not terribly!.

I'm assuming that you've had the doctor look at it and diagnose it, though, since you had a prescription!. Hydrocortisone (sp) cream is the only thing I can think of that might stop the itch!. Tinactin will treat ringworm!. Tea tree oil is said to be an anti-fungal!.

I still don't think it's ringworm, though!. :) I think you should go back to the doctor and see if it's something else!. Hope you feel better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no joke, buy some head and shoulders shampoo, and put it on the ringworm in the shower then a few minutes l8r wash it off!.
you say its spreading, it is just in your head, you can wash your dreads with the head and shuolders it wont hurt anything but theres probably no ringworm there anyway!. there s some ingredients in the shampoo that is also in ringworm meds like lotrimin it called pyrothione acid
you can also use selsun blue!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
