What is the difference between Sore throat and tonsillitis?!
Question: What is the difference between Sore throat and tonsillitis!?
I don't understand what is my condition if it's either a tonsillitis or sore throat!.!.!.!.!.!.!.whew!So confused hey friends!.!.!.!.!.a!.k!.a!. yahooo users please help me and also put their symptoms each of it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sore throat causes pain in the throat!. The throat is usually red!. It may be viral or streptococcal!. Tonsillitis is due to strep!. The tonsils are enlarged and red!. They may also have drops of pus on them!. There may be difficulty and pain on swallowing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Tonsils are lymph nodes on either side of your throat at the back of your tongue!. If they are inflamed they will look quite large and may have white or red spots on them!. You can see them in the mirror!. Tonsils can be effected by viruses or bacteria as part of another illness, so in effect tonsillitis may be a symptom of something else!.
Sore throat may be bacterial inflammation deeper in the throat, but it is just a lay term for several types of throat problems!. A sore throat would exclude laryngitis which is inflammation of the voice box!. So pain and discomfort between the larynx and the top of the throat (pharynx) may be considered to be a sore throat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

tonsilitis is WAY worse than a sore throat!.when i had it,it hurt for me to swallow WATER!.I had a stuffy head,my head felt like it was gonna fall off of my shoulders!.and on top of it,i had pink eye!.so,if you have tonsilitis,you will know you have itWww@Answer-Health@Com
When you eventually get tonsillitis you will know!.!.!.!.!. when I got it I thought I was swallowing double sided razor blades!.!.!.!.!.!. it hurt so much that I cried!. I had my first tonsillitis when I was 21 and don't know how little kids get through it !.Www@Answer-Health@Com
