Can you contract AIDS by having a Blood Transfusion?!

Question: Can you contract AIDS by having a Blood Transfusion!?
If so, how is it possible!? ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
technically; yes, because the virus is carried in blood!. But in reality; NO (now) because fortunately, the supply in the USA is ALL tested, they don't accept blood from risky donors, and even if one pint did slip thru the system, it might never be used, or be used by YOU in particular!.
The ACTUAL risk comes from people that are newly diagnosed with HIV, the viral load (the amount) in their blood might be low enough to be missed on testing, they test a sample of the pint) not the WHOLE thing- how could they- it'd be like looking for a needle in a haystack!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Although it is still possible, it is extremely rare at this point because all donated blood is tested before it is added to the supply of blood available for transfusion!. If donated blood tests positive for HIV (virus that can lead to AIDS) the blood is discarded and the donor is notified of their status and informed that they are no longer allowed to donate blood!.

In the 80's, it was more common for people to get HIV from blood transfusions because testing wasn't done, or wasn't as accurate at that time!. One well-known example is Ryan White, who had a bleeding disorder and contracted HIV through blood transfusion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it was a very real possibility when the aids epidemic came about!. people were getting hiv virus through blood transfusions!. now days the screening process is so tight that I think the possibilities are more rarer now than before!. how does it occur, someone who had hiv and didn't know it donated blood!. the virus was not discovered!. now days if you have even a simple cold you cannot or you are not supposed to donate blood!. but they have a much better screening process now!. and if you know you will be going in for an operation!. you can always donate your own blood to your self several weeks a head of time so it can be used in the case of an severe blood loss while in surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. It's possible because infected blood is transfused into your body!. It doesn't happen too often these days because of the technology associated with the screening and testing processes in place but it used to happen often - years ago!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes!!.!.!.!.and the blood isn't screened properly then yes you can contract hiv/aids virus through a blood transfusion!Www@Answer-Health@Com
