POLYPS? what are they?!
Question: POLYPS!? what are they!?
i recently had severe stomach cramps, and i had diarrea of straight blood and mucus!.!.!.talk about scary!!.!.!.so i was put in the hospital, and doc did a colonoscopy!. i was told i had a polyp and that is was removed and a biopsy would be performed!.!.!.i have not recieved results of that yet!.!.!.i was also told i have ulceritive colonitus!.!.!.kinda scared !.!.!.i think this has been going on for years!.!.!.!.can anyone share their experiences with me!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ulcerative collitis is very painful!.!. inflammation in the colon!.!.!.!. there are other people here who have it!.!. you probbaly can do searches to get more info!.!. you might want to contact the collitis association to get more information too because there are things that can help such as medication and dietarty changes !.!.!.!.
a polyp is a tissue that hasn't turned cancerous but would have if left there!.!.!.!. it's not supposed to be there and comes as a result of things like too much bile from a fatty liver, IBS, Crohns, Ulc Collitis as well, and other issues!.!.!. It'ds good they found it and clipped it!. They start out small but over time they turn into cancer!.!.!.
These conditions the UC and other inflammatory bowel diseases are soimetimes autoimmune diseases of the bowels and mamy times there are treatments for them!.!.
You can google the association that deals with these illnesses for more infromation!.!.!.
I don't have them myself however I have friends that do and I have a rheumatic disease which is autoimmune too so I can relate to some of the issues going on!.
