Question: Is it possible for gallstones to obstruct your esophagus!?
I know that in bad cases, it can obstruct your bile duct!. Is it possible for the gallstones to spread as high up as your esophagus!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just had my gallbladder removed 2 weeks ago tomorrow!. My main symptom was chronic indigestion!. As soon as I ate it came and didn't go away until I woke the next morning!. I took nexium for it, and it still didn't help!. As soon as I had my gallbladder removed my indigestion went away!.

I am not a doctor, but a doubt it could get that far because it would first have to pass through the stomach to get to the oesophagus!. I don't thing the Pyloric sphincter muscle would allow it to pas up into the stomach!. Besides that, you probably be in so much pain you would go see your doctor or go to the hospital to see what was causing this pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
