Could I possibly have diabetes?!

Question: Could I possibly have diabetes!?
I was told I could have diabetes due to my symptoms!. I missed my period (haven't had one since May), I'm tired a lot, I urinate a lot more, sometimes my vision is blurry-ish (I could just use some glasses, I suppose), I have a slight headache sometimes, and I'm kinda irritable here and there!. What could this be!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Well, the most common symptoms of diabetes are: polydipsia, polyuria, and polyphasia!.!.!.meaning

You are consuming a WHOLE lot more fluid that you used to!.!.!.
You are urinating a WHOLE lot more than you used to!.!.!. (like getting up in the middle of the night at least once!.!.!. maybe up to 4-5 times)
You are hungry a WHOLE lot and you eat and eat, but you aren't gaining weight!.

Fatigue is can also be a sign, but that could also be a sign of tons of other things as well!.
Missed periods could come from stress, depending on your age they may not be regulated yet so it could come from that!.!.!.
Blurry vision is sometimes seen in diabetes but it doesn't seem to be consistent with all cases!.

A simple blood test to check your sugar can be done if the results are high, normal range is between 70-115 then they can run another test called an A1C and also check your urine for ketones!.

An A1C test shows the doctor an average of how your blood sugar has been running over the past 3 months, a normal person should have a number at 6 or below!.

Ketones spill over into the urine from the kidneys trying to work so hard to get rid of the excess glucose -sugar- in your body, they may also find sugar in your urine!.

Some diabetics can tell by the smell of their urine having a slight "fruity" or "sweet" smell!. In fact, before all of our technology came out, doctors would actually take a SIP of the patient's urine to test for diabetes! Seriously! Anyway, hope this helps!

I was 15 when I was diagnosed, and around that time I started craving more and more "sweet" drinks!.!.!. especially COKE or DR!. PEPPER!.!.!. SWEET TEA!.!.!. stuff I drank I just wanted MORE of it!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's a possibility, but with out knowing your age and other things it's hard to say for sure!. I have many of those symptoms, I was diagnosed with PCOS which is polycystic ovarian syndrome!. It has many of the same symptoms, especially the missed periods!. I would get checked out by your Dr!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The first symptom that prompted me to visit the doctor was blurry vision!. I was going to see an optometrist, however, I needed an annual exam anyway, since I had not had a period in about 3 years!. When I filled out the questionnaire, the doctor sat down and had a consultation with me!.

After going through the list of questions and my family history, she ordered a blood panel!. Sure enough, I came back with type II diabetes!. At the time, I was 23 and had been affected, at estimate, for about 2 or 3 years!.

You need to have your parent make a doctor's appointment immediately and have a full physical done!. These symptoms do sound diabetic, however, they could be indicative of other things as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
