its very simple!. people have to practice no sex till marriage and only have sex with partner and if they absolutly are against that dont have sex with so many people and use safe sex!. if everyone actually practiced these things aids would be abolished from america in the next 100 years!. tell me ur points of view and how u feel on this!. if u believe i am wrong tell me y!. and i do kno that aids is hereditary but its only 1/4 chance so if people only practiced it and taught that too their children and so on all std would never exist again in americaWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
First off, AIDS is not hereditary!. It is a Syndrom cause by the HIV virus!. With today's advances in medicine, there is only a 2% chance that a child will be infected with HIV if his or her mother is HIV+, and that is not because the child will inherit it, but rather due to an exchange of fluids during childbirth!.

Secondly, sexual intercourse is not the only way HIV is transmitted!. Any time a certian bodily fluid (blood, semen, vagnial fluids, breast milk) comes in contact with a mucuous membrane or an open cut, there is a possibilty for infection!. So HV can be tranmitted theough intraveneous drug use, tattooing, piercings, and like i mentioned before, child birth!.

Safe sex practices greatly diminish the spread of HIV!. But we already know this, don't we!? And has it really changed the way people behave!? People still have unprotected sex knowing full well that they are putting themselves a risk for a whole variety of unpleasant health effects, and it still doesn't stop them!. So how do you expect to convince everyone in this country to practice safe sex!? It's not as simple as you make it seem!.

I'm not trying to be pessimistic, but you can't simpley get rid of an STD by telling everyone to have safe sex, and you basically would have to quarantine all HIV+ people to abolish the virus completely!. Try convincing the country to do that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
