Can a cold / sinusitis cause an increase in heart rate?!

Question: Can a cold / sinusitis cause an increase in heart rate!?
I'm a 25 year old female - I exercise daily, and my resting heart rate is around 58bpm!.
I don't often get sick, but for the past week, I've had a cold/flu!. My nose was super stuffy - you know where one nostril feels like there is a brick wall inside it, with absolutly no hope of blowing :) and it's usually worse at night; plus my voice goes very hoarse in the evenings!.
I've felt better the past day or two, however last night I got a slight chest pain (but we had a big dinner, so it could have just been heartburn) and this morning I got a sore throat - which I didn't have before!.
I've also noticed today that my heart rate is around 80bpm - quite an increase considering my usual is 58bpm!.!.!.
I've spent the past 2 weeks working every day with kids, so I'm guessing that how I initially got sick :)

So, yeah - basically, I'm curious if my increased heart rate due to my cold/flu!?

Any thoughts would be appreciated - It's got me a little stressed out!
Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Any illness can cause an increased heart rate!.

If your nose is "stuffy" then that means you have to actually work hard to breath!.!.!. which of course will increase your heart rate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
