I really hate people on here!.!.!. ignore the insensitivity of the other person who responded!.

Inpatient for any kind of addiction, including eating disorders, is no picnic but it can be essential for some people to get back to a stable weight and/or eating pattern!. It is a very controlled environment and can feel really threatening to suddenly be monitored and watched and weighed constantly!. Again, eating disorders are like any other addiction and addicts are generally going to try to find a way to continue "using" even while in rehab!. So, that is why there is so much monitoring on an ED unit!.

There are different types of inpatient programs, so what I have written above might be different from some!. Most, however, have regular therapy, group therapy, and family/friends therapy!. There will also be medical issues that might have to be addressed with doctors, in addition to treating the eating disorders itself!.

Don't listen to the horrible people on here!. If you are considering treatment, take the opportunity to try and get well and go into the program!. I wish you the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

a bunch of emo b*tches hanging out in group therapy talking about why they're not too thin, and how no one understands them!. Why they don't have a disorder, and mostly trying to figure out how to get around the rules, instead of working on getting better!. That about sums it up!. Because at the heart of the issue is either a neurochemical imbalance, or a desire to hurt themselves to gain care and attention!. Mostly- they just need to get over themselves, grow up, and TAKE responsibility for their slow form of suicide!. They can't get well until they do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
