I was diagnosed about 8 months ago as a brittle diabetic, my boyfriend was 8 when he was diagnosed, and the two kids I babysit who are now 5 and 7, were diagnosed as type 1s when they were 3!. My boyfriend and I are 19, and he's helping me understand most of it :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have Type 2 Diabetes - non insulin dependent!. My doctor told me I should be able to control it with the mildest dosage of Metformin and diet!. 3 years ago, I was instructed to eliminate the following things: white flour, white pasta, white rice, white bread, sugar in ALL forms (white sugar, brown sugar, raw sugar, honey, molasses, corn syrup, and dextrose), potato in all forms, and last, but not least ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES!
As a result, I lost 60 pounds and seem to be managing quite well!. It's still a struggle not to cheat with a drink now and then, but I don't care about sweets or potato!. The white food doesn't bother me too much other than forfeiting convenience with not being able to order take out food!. The bottom line is that our health is our greatest blessing and we should never take it for granted!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dealing with it!. I drink, eat candy, but not loads, and enjoy my life!. Nothing is banned in my diet, I learn how to accommodate it!.

im 13 and had it since i was 4 =[ i hate it but i have to live with !.!. there is no way out of it =[ and my sugar is most of the time high =[ i cant really control it alottWww@Answer-Health@Com
