Is this diet and exercise goals healthy?!
Question: Is this diet and exercise goals healthy!?
After finding out that I had type 2 diabetes 6 months ago I had went on a serious diet and lost 120 pounds!. Right now At 6'0 I weigh 180 (5% bodyfat)!. During that time period my blood sugar dropped from 170 to 115 and I am trying to maintain a blood sugar level around 100-110!. I use oral insulin twice a day!. My diet and fitness goals are
Eat 2500 calories in 4 meals rather than 3
Keep my total carbodyrate to no more than 45% of daily calories!.
Consume no more than 70 grams of simple carbs a day (sugar source from V8 juices)
Run 3 miles every other day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Congratulations! You have accomplished an amazing turn-around after your diagnosis!. We can only hope that every newly diagnosed diabetic responds as positively as you!.
My only suggestion would be to be more consistent in your exercise!. Running every other day is fine, but it would be terrific if you could walk (or do some other, less intense exercise) on the days you aren't running!. That might also help you avoid regaining some of the weight you've lost!. 2500 calories sounds reasonable for an active lifestyle, but is perhaps a little high for the days you are less active!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
