Question: How can a cold sore travel to the brain!?
k pobably most of u, or many of u ppl out there get a cold sore when ur sick or something!. It is terrible when it blisters out on ur lip!. i was wondering how it gets into ur brain!?!? i heard there are 2 cases in a group of a million in the u!.s had this problem so it sounds rare but how the heck can it travel to ur brain isn't it a just a blister virus on ur skin!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You sure made me work for this one,lol!. I figured it had something to do with the fact that the Herpes virus "hides" in nerve cells- which can connect to the spine and brain - when it is not active!. The paragraph below explains it better!.

I'm pretty sure its because the infection gets into the blood!. I've only heard of this happening once on the news!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
well i hope that doesn't happen to me since i have cold sores too (which are oral herpes BTW)!. oral herpes are usually not life threatening!. there is ocular herpes which affects they eyes) and herpes can also affect the inside of the nose which could be how they got to the brain!. it is very rare for herpes to affect the inside of your body (since its not life threatening)!. well 80% of the population has herpes so i would think some people would have extreme cases of them!.
sometimes oral herpes a blister and sometimes they are open sores or cut like things on or around the mouth!. they are usually painful and once u have them u have them for life!.
herpes usually goes into your nervous system not really in your blood but in your spine and it takes some stress on the body in order for it to break out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
