Question: Should I worry about the mole with a hard lump under the skin on my face!?
I booked an appointment to have a small itchy red mole just below my right cheek removed yesterday, only the nurse didn't actually examine it!. Because it's not a serious operation the operation was booked for a couple of months away!.
Just a few hours after I'd come back from the clinic to book it, I noticed (whilst scratching it, which I know I shouldn't have done) that there is a big hard lump just below the skin, about 2 cm in diameter right under the mole!. I got someone else to feel it, and they said I should definatly go back to the clinic tommorow and get it checked properly!.
I just want to know if this is something really worth loosing sleep over!. Maybe they'd let me have the operation a bit earlier!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you're worried about it, definitely call and ask them if they can do it sooner, just for your own peace of mind!.
Here's what doctors look for as warning signs of melanoma (skin cancer): Remember ABCD:
A: Asymmetry: Is one half different than the other half!?
B: Border: Is the border around the mole irregular!?
C: Color: Is it more than one color!.
D: Diameter: Is it greater than 6 mm in diameter!?
If yes, you have warning signs of melanoma and might be able to get in earlier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If your worried about it get it checked out again!. I was worried about 5 of my moles getting bigger and changing shape so I got them removed!. Its a very easy process they numb you up and for me the took a really small tool and cut it out!. My husband watched the whole thing!. After all was said and done I had 15 stitches and all 5 were safe no cancer!.
Get it checked out just explain to them you were just in but it has since then started changing and it worries you!.
