Answers:
Mono (mononucleosis or glandular fever) is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus!.

Because Minocin is a tetracycline (to treat bacteria) and the medication you are taking (if any) for mono will (probably) be an anti-viral* (maybe with a name which ends !.!.IN, !.!.MOX or!.!.XIL), there should be no problem!.

*(You might also have been prescribed prednisone, a corticosteroidal anti-inflammatory)!.

If you are concerned or begin to feel more unwell talk to your doctor, who will know immediately if there are contra-indications (medications/treatments which shouldn't be combined) here!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know of no contraindiction to taking Minocin in the presence of infectious mononucleosis!. If it was the same doctor who prescribed Minocin as the one who diagnosed you with mono, it would have been brought up if it were a problem!. You can always call and ask, you know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should be fine!.!.!. I had mono once too!.!.!. it really did suck!. =\

Hope you get better soon!

Drink lots and lots of water =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
