Answers:
The name of the disease is Xeroderma pigmentosum!. It's EXTREMELY rare!. It's called "XP" for short!.

In extreme cases, you must avoid sunlight completely!. People usually have a shortened life span due to this disease, and typically die of some sort of cancer!. Here's a link to the disease information on wikipedia!. Good luck!.

I can agree with the people above me ^
Though I think the second answer is more accurate!.
This type of thing can have many different levels to it,
and can have a few different names seeing how each
different side effect can cause something else!.
Now in the movie they hated even looking out of the tapestries or something to see a little bit of light!. That's a rare case, and apparently extreme!.
It doesn't effect many of us, and it is rare in a case!.
People today have to have the sun [like always] it feeds us, kind of like plants, and anyone that can't have the littlest bit with a bad immunity to it can't live too long!.

Just sharing what I know!.
