12 year old girl and chest pains, help?!

Question: 12 year old girl and chest pains, help!?
I am a 12 year old girl!. I am 5 feet tall, 88 pounds!.
Sometimes out of the blue, I get these chest pains!. Not the major ones that old men with heart disease get!. In my case, it's like a series of short little stings in my chest, especially on the left side where the heart obviously is!. The series of stings don't last that long, only for 10 seconds and the sting occurs every few seconds or so!.
I don't know why!. I get plenty of exercise!. I eat healthily!.!.!.I think!. Does anyone know what this thing I am experiencing is called!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Chest pain can also be from heartburn!.!.stress, and a condition called costrocondritis(sp!?)!. If it's heartburn it's usually felt more when laying down and after you eat a meal!. If it's stress then obviously you feel it some on if stressed out at all!. And costochondritis is an inflammation of the bones that connect the breastbone to the sternum!. You would feel slight pains in the breast bone area!. Often it can also be brought on if you press down on your chest wall, it can cause the same pains!. But in any case!.!.you should have your doc check it out!. It is probably just nothing but never mess around when it comes to pain in your chest area!. I would not just let it go!.!.but don't freak out either!. If you were having problems with your heart you'd also most likely have shortness of breath, dizziness, nausea, and pain that radiates down the left arm!. Often described a heart attack as ift feel like an elephant is sitting on your chest!. SO if this is not the case then don't worry, but do have it checked!. Ok well hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Talk to your guardian, they might let you see a doctor if its getting too frequent!. Sometimes even if its in the heart region it might not be your heart, sometimes its your lungs or ribs experiencing pain by being physically strained recently!. I'm not an expert, but I do get that from time to time as well!.

Have good one,
