Answers:
Your doctor is almost certainly right!.

This sounds like a condition called gynaecomastia, where a button-like growth under the nipple and areola area can be felt and can occasionally it can be quite tender!.

This increase in the amount of breast tissue is not a tumour and occurs due to changes in hormone balances at times like adolescence when the overall level of androgens, male hormones, gradually decreases!.

It's not at all unusual, and can happen in both nipples or just one!. It's temporary!.

Breast cancer in males does happen, but it's rare - fewer than 1% of those diagnosed are male!. It's also almost unheard of in people under 20, male or female!. 80% of those diagnosed with it are over 50 and it's rare in under 40s!. The majority of men diagnosed with it are over 60!.

If, now that you know these facts, you're still worried then yes, you should go back to the doctor for reassuranceWww@Answer-Health@Com
