He said he got it after we shared the razor, so he told me not to worry!.

Also i share a razor with my dad!. I dont know if he has it either!.

Should I be worried!? Should I get tested!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
HIV does not survive very long outside the body, so being infected this way would be extremely unlikely!. You could be infected, though, if both of you had cut yourselves!.
It is much easier to get Hep C from sharing razors (if one of you would have Hep C) because Hep C lives on surfaces for up to 4 days!.
You mentioned not being sick!. HIV often has no symptoms initially, or may have symptoms that can be diagnosed as flu!. However, not everyone has flu like symptoms!. It is the lack of symptoms that makes testing so important!. HIV is often transmitted by people who do not yet know that they are infected!.

I would suggest that you get an HIV test 3 months after exposure, and a retest 6 months after exposure!. (Taking 6 months to test positive is extremely rare, but it happens!.)

HIV is not spread through casual contact!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

first of all, get your own razors!!! family or not nobody should share anything that has the potential of passing blood back and forth-you can catch hepatitis, mrsa, and other nasty viruses that way
if it would make you feel better, get tested, but the possibility of catching hiv this way is not as great as intercourse
hiv doesnt always show symptoms, some people live with it for years without getting sick!. the only way to know for sure is to get testedWww@Answer-Health@Com

Someone said the chance of you getting it is about 0!.001%!. In my opinion (this cannot be measured exactly of course) it is actually much smaller!. The virus dies quickly, his blood would have to be running on the razor before you cut yourself for you to have a substantial probability of acquiring the virus!. Getting tested is never a bad idea, and it will make you feel more secure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i would get tested only because you will not let this down untill you do, but the chance would be like 0!.001%!. There is only one know case like this, and the people infected also shared a toothbrush and both had gum diesease, so they dont even know that it was from the razor!. How long ago did u share the razor!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I totally agree with Linda Get your own Razors even family should have their own!. Never use anyones razor or manicure stuff nail clippers cuticle trimmers etc!.
Hep C is silent and most never know they have it and few know how they got it!. It is NOT a fun disease to have and can in time kill Just like HIV!.
So do the smart thing everyone keep their own!.

Now just to be safe and sure make an appointment and have test done for Hep A, B and C and HIV Just to be sure!.,Www@Answer-Health@Com

no, aids can only last around 10 seconds outside the body

however, you must be aware of hepatatis which can be caught this wayWww@Answer-Health@Com

It is possible so please get yourself tested!. You may need to get tested again around the 6 month period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i honestly dont know all that much except for the basics!. but i do know that it never hurts to get testedWww@Answer-Health@Com
