Question: Will they find a cure for muscular distrophy!?
It seems like they have gotten tons of money for a long time in the hopes of devoloping a cure for muscular distrophy, but I have yet to hear that anything has been discovered!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Eventually I am sure they will!. As for now there are a few drugs in development that will slow the process down!.

Hi, you can find it right here at Yahoo! Yahoo! runs old fashioned subscriber e-mail and message board service for those people who have specific diseases!. I belong to ttwo Yahoo! support groups for the same disease!. Most of these clubs or groups (I think they call them groups) are run by a sponsor who posts a lot of resource information including up to the minute research!.
They will likely belong to the Muscular Distrophy Association and get their newsletter as well as know actual medical researchers who publish articles in Profession Journals that are on the WWW, but impossible to find using a search engine!.
I belong to two chronic pain groups here!. Type in "muscular distrophy" in Yahoo!'s search window and the results will usually contain two, three or more support groups run by Yahoo! I'm an ex-reporter and I've found out more scientific information through the support group I belong to, than through trying to sift through information on the internet!. Several members always have access to the latest thing!.
The groups also give the person with the disease or parents with children or people who are a spouse of someone who have a certain disease a lot of moral support!.
I don't know how I would get through life without mine!. Mine is gold, it helped me decided what kind of treatment regime I wished to have!. There are basically three!. I thought the one the specialist put me on was the only one!. The disease I have is incurable, but through the support group I learned of the other two kinds of treatment available!.
I booked an appointment with my family doctor and asked him to give me a referral to another specialist who would use the treatment regime that I though would work for me best!. Since it was incurrable the specialist I was seeing was trying to treat the cause not the symptoms and it just wasn't working!. So I opted out and went to a specialist who uses pain control through various methods!. It literally changed my life, good luck and best wishes!. MTH!.
ps, actually the best way is to look for "Groups" on the Yahoo! first page, then search MD on that page, here is one group about MD I found in Yahoo! Groups!.

They have collected money for everything cancer, etc!. Any dis-ease a person has is to help that person grow in some way!. This part of health isn't paid much attention to in our society!. If you can change your e-mail & contact me I will look into the metaphysical purpose of MD!. If a person doesn't need something it will go away!. Some things are going to stay though & I haven't looked into this but it could be one of those things & then the lesson is for the person to learn to love life with it!. I know this might be hard to take!. I have a son that died (not from a disease) & I am learning to live with that experience!. Some things in life are that way!. The person with the disease is also giving so, so much to others by experiencing this!. So if you want to look at it from a more wholistic point of view contact me!.
