Sunburn and swollen face? Help please?!

Question: Sunburn and swollen face!? Help please!?
I was outside for a while 2 days ago and got sunburned!. My face was really really red a few hours after I got inside!. I woke up yesterday with a swollen face, mainly my cheeks and around my eyes!. I was drinking a lot of water all day and putting a cold wet towel over my face!. I also put some ice on it and aloe vera too!. It looked the same before I went to bed!. I woke up this morning and my left side looks a little better just a little swollen, but my right side is still pretty swollen!. By the way, I have no blisters or fever!. When will the swelling go down!?

Has this happened to anyone!? How long did the swelling last for!?!? and What did you do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I'm a natural redhead, so I've had more sunburns in my life than I can count! Swelling often accompanies a bad burn!. It's just that the skin is inflamed, so it swells a bit!. Ice only cools and numbs the skin and raw aloe vera is not good to put on it because it's sticky and while the sap has some antiseptic and antibacterial properties, you can do more damage to your burnt skin when you have to wash it off!. If you mean aloe vera cream or lotion, then it's probably a good moisturizer!.

The best thing you can do is to brew up a pot of strong tea!. Then let it cool or put some ice in it until it's nice and cool and soak some old cloths or rags in it and put that on your face!. Don't use good washcloths because the tea will stain them brown! The tannins in the tea has aneasthetic properties and will cool and numb your face and help the swelling go down!. Also, keep putting some kind of lotion or moisturizer on your burns!. I like Lubriderm!. Unscented is best, but any will do!. It will help you to avoid peeling and save your skin!. The swelling should subside in a day or two!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would give it another day or so for it to go down!. My sunburns usually last about 4 or 5 days!. To take the sting out of it, you can try using white vinegar!. Soak a rag in it and then lay it on your face!. It will stink, but it is pretty good about pulling the burn out of a bigger area!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have had some pretty serious sunburns blisters and all (im a red head) but i have never had swelling from them!. You might have gotten sun poisoning you should probably go to the dr if aloe and cool water aren't helpingWww@Answer-Health@Com

Try heating up camilla tea then put ice cubes in making it ice cold then dab it on your face youly have relauts in a few days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
