Answers:
In the UK, yes, you can go to the doctor without telling your mother!. I think you're right to go to the doctor but my guess is that it's nothing serious!. It sounds very like a blocked sebaceous gland and, apart from the pain, it's of no consequence!.

Having breasts that are different sizes is very common, as it is for men to have different sized testicles and both sexes different sized feet!.

I would tell your mother about your concerns, just so you learn that she's only going to be sympathetic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As long as your are competent you can go to the doctor at 16 without your parent!.!.!.also the doctor will not talk to your parents about anything without your consent!.

However, since their is a lump it might be best to let your mom know what is going on!.!.!.just in case their is something wrong with you so your mom can be there for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

one: you can go on your own, although if you don't want to make an appointment, you could find your nearest NHS walk in centre and just drop in there!. (no need of appointment)
Two: could be a swollen lymph gland, but also may well be a boil under the skin!. common place to get them!.suggest you get it checked!. as for your breasts, i suggest you watch 'boob envy

it can be many things it can be a symptom of something!. i have lupus [disease] and i had lumps in my armpits as well, inside to you could move it around; check your neck if you have anymore lumps, but you have to go to the doctor as soon as possible if it grows its worse, yes go with your mom or with any grown up you feel better to go with!.

hey dont be afraid to tell your mom, that is what your parents are there for!!! They are there to help, and it will build trust with your mom! And you dont want it to get too bad or it will cost your mom even more money!. So tell your mom and tell her you need to go to a doctor!
Good luck?Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah of course its nothing sexual or anything!. (if thats what u would be uncomfortable with infront of your mum)

your mum should be understanding

you may have glandular fever or something!.

nothing to worry about or be embarassed about hunnyWww@Answer-Health@Com

Of course you should tell your Mother!. You are worried, she can help!. It may be something that runs in the family!. Also, won't you need the insurance information to see a Doctor!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

you can go to the doctos without your parents, and it would be confidetial unless it was something that your parents would need to know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My doctor told me that you are entitled to medical confidentiality from age 10 and they cannot tell your parents if you don't want them too!. A 10yr old that I know also had to sign his own forms before minor surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you most certainly can!. Doctors are not allowed to discuss you with anyone, not even your parents!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

do you know another adult that could accompany you!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes at 16 you do not need perents consent for medical thingsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well if it's life threatening the doctor has to tell your parents in fact he doesn't have a option!. I would tell your mum try talking to her and explaining whats going on!. If there's a lump on your breast about the size of a pickle its more likely to be breast cancer I'm not saying it is but it's possible!. My Friend found a lump on her breast she went to the doctors with her mum and the docotor told her it was normal!.
Goodluck and i'm sure there's site you can check out!.

You might have heard of Germaine Greer!. She took legal action because she said she had a right to know that a doctor had prescribed her daughter who was underage the contraceptive pill,Germaine lost her case and she had no rights
The Doctors said the Hippocratic oath prevented them from divulging to parents and the courts said they were right !.
Now of course you also have the Data Protection Act preventing Doctors disclosing without your consent
Go to the doctors be assured it is confidential Try not to worry too much, it is not unusual for even minor infections in other parts of the body to show up in a swollen lymph glandWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you'll be able to do to the doctor in confidence, there's no need to take a parent with you and they won't be told you've been!.

It's totally up to you if you'd like to tell her or not!.!.!. if it's something your worried about you can either talk to her about it first!.!.!.!. or go to the doctors, find out what it is, then tell her!.
