If you want to try something natural for the hypothyroidism first, you can take kelp tablets!. If that doesn't help, then medical intervention may be the way to go!. In the medical situation, your family doctor should be able to treat it!. But he should test for it first instead of just giving you medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Hi! Your family doc should be able to run preliminary tests for hypothyroidism, and if they suspect a problem, then they will refer you to a specialist!.
As far as symptoms go, I would look for fatigue (that lasts longer than it would during pms); this is usually the first noticable symptom of hypothyroidism!. I would also check out any other symptoms that concern you on webmd!.com , it is a great site to check out your symptoms if you haven't tried this already!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ordinary ('primary') hypothyroidism is quite easy to diagnose and treat and (in the UK) it is usually treated by your family doctor!. It's diagnosed by a simple blood test for two hormones called T4 and TSH!. If you are hypothyroid, you get prescribed tablets conatining the hormone T4, to top up what your thyroid is making!. Your question is moot, since an endo won't see you without a diagnosis and a referral!.
See your regular doctor and get tested!. you need free T3 and free T4!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
